The last few weeks have been quite the adjustment. I’ve finally had the space, the time and the quiet, everything I thought I needed to get my life in order. It’s been almost three weeks since I moved into my new home. But here’s the kicker: the real distraction, it hasn’t been the external stuff. It’s been the noise inside me.

At first, I blamed the constant moving around, figuring out what to eat, where to go next, just surviving day-to-day. But now, with some stability, I see the truth: all those external distractions were just a smokescreen. I’ve been avoiding the hard stuff, the things I know I need to do. The things that are simple, really, but for some reason, I keep pushing them off. It feels like being stuck in a loop.

Even after settling down, those tasks, the small, everyday things, I keep putting them off. I don’t need more training to figure them out. I’ve always known what needs to be done. But something keeps holding me back. Is it fear? Fear of failure? Or maybe it’s the fear of success, the fear of what happens if I finally show up and go after what I really want.

The truth is, I don’t need more knowledge or tools or more perfect conditions. I know exactly what I need to do. I need to get out of my head, out of the endless cycle of excuses and distractions and just show up.

So here I am, owning it. I’m done with the excuses. It’s time to do the work, not just on the outside, but within. It’s time to face the fear and take action, no matter how small.

So…

What tasks do you find yourself avoiding, even when they’re simple and within your reach? What’s really holding you back, is it fear, self-doubt or something else? And what’s one small step you can take today to start breaking the cycle?
